2011-12 Scheduled changes: Thanksgiving week the market will be held on Tuesday 11/22/11 and Wednesday 11/23/11, and will be closed 11/24.

The Tuesday, February 7th Bowling Green Greenmarket will be rescheduled for Wednesday, February 8th due to the scheduled ticker-tape parade through downtown Manhattan. Congrats, Giants! 

WIC and FMNP checks accepted at individual farmer stands

The Bowling Green Greenmarket brings fresh offerings from local farms to Lower Manhattan’s historic Bowling Green plaza.  Twice a week year-round neighbors, commuters, and visitors from around the world stop to load up on the season’s freshest fruit, crisp vegetables, beautiful plants, and freshly baked loaves of bread, quiches, and pot pies.

Manager

Heather Rubi moved from fighting Wyoming wildfires and working with Greenpeace to join the farmer-loving crew of Greenmarket. As a Minnesota native, she spent summers working on her family's farm, and can drive a tractor and chop wood with the best of them. Heather hopes that the insight and experience gained here at Greenmarket will help her one day run her own farm in the North Woods.
