In the heart of a thriving strip of restaurants and local establishments on lively Coutelyou Road, this south Brooklyn Greenmarket has been a Sunday morning community destination since 2003. Shoppers routinely fill their market bags and baskets with specialty Mexican produce and herbs, eggs, chicken, fresh pasta, orchard fruit and juice, seafood, mushrooms, grass-fed beef, goat cheese, and vegetables grown in the Black Dirt region of Orange County, NY. 

Calendar of Events

Cooking demos, seasonal celebrations, family friendly activities like sing-a-longs and open adjacent schoolyard allow for a festive atmosphere.

Manager

Sam Blatteis hails from Oakland, California, where she enjoyed the abundance of figs and meyer lemons, until moving to Washington, DC to study Culture and Politics at Georgetown University. Wanting to learn how to raise her own food, she left the city and traveled to New Zealand and then Maine to work with livestock and vegetables. Since moving Brooklyn, she's enjoyed working with farmers and learning about sustainable agriculture in the Northeast.
