An array of plants, berries picked just as they have ripened, juice pressed from upstate orchard fruit, heirloom tomatoes and much more will entice you to keep checking back in on the market to see what's new each week, and experience the change of the seasons through the food made available by these regional farmers.

Manager

Katie Pryor currently lives on Staten Island, but is from a small farm town in Central Illinois. Her interests include vegetarianism, reading, biking, camping, and spending lazy days in parks around NYC. Katie's favorite foods are soybeans, Swiss chard, scallions, kale, onions, corn, and potatoes. She has a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and is currently earning her Master of Science in Environmental Sciences at CUNY. Katie loves her farmers because they are solely responsible for producing all of the food that she consumes and act as such great environmental advocates.

Thomas Perry, also known as Tee, was born and raised in the West Village and now lives in Staten Island. Tee managed the (now closed) Gaansevoort Greenmarket in the West Village 18 years ago. At that time, he was not a big fruit and vegetable eater, but since being surrounded each weekend by his favorite fruits -- grapes, plums, watermelon, corn, tomatoes, and potatoes, he has happily changed his eating habits. Tee became a market manager again because he loves the North Shore community and feels like his experience brings so much to the market.
