Emily Winkler-Morey grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where the mayor once declared April 19th to be 'Ski to Work Day.' Emily is still amazed by year-round farmers markets and fresh greens in March. They came to NYC five years ago to attend Eugene Lang College, where they explored urban studies and dance. They maintain the double-vision of these fields, promoting healthy, happy cities and healthy, happy bodies. Emily first joined GrowNYC as an AmeriCorps service member, working to connect Greenmarkets with emergency food services. After a second AmeriCorps term at Henry Street Settlement, they are thrilled to be back on the Greenmarket team as a Market Manager.
