Consider Bardwell, Market Staff
Consider Bardwell Farm is a pasture-based dairy farm, making and aging award winning raw cow’s and goat’s milk cheeses. We balance traditional cheese styles and sustainable farming practices with state-of-the-art production of cheeses that are unique to our team, our animals, and our corner of Vermont. We take the greenmarkets very seriously as a crucial part of our business and an asset to every neighborhood.  Buying food direct from the producers is uncommon and impactful. We want people who take their work seriously while at work, and we want to help our employees excel in whatever their long term goals may be.  We are looking for engaging and curious staff to bring their unique background and passion to our Greenmarket stands.  We've employed artists, chefs, dancers, marketing professionals, and policy wonk grad students, with the only constants being authenticity, responsibility and grit.  We'd pride ourselves over having very low turnover, but the bulk of that credit goes to the team itself. We aim to make our stand the most fun and engaging stand at every farmers market.  We're currently operating 16 weekly stands, in a mix of strong established markets and growing new ones.  We're a strong operation of smart people supported by smart logistics, but we're always looking for someone new to find opportunities we're missing. This is where you can make an immediate impact in small scale food.
-FULL and PART TIME shifts available
-Must have a valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
-Must be able to lift 50 pounds, and be comfortable working outside.
-Weekend availability is a must.  We want to get you to a consistent set schedule as soon as possible, but we make schedule flexibility a priority if desired.
-Pay is hourly and above market rate for food retail, and we offer clear and attainable bonuses for monthly sales targets.  We want people to take ownership over their markets, and will work with you to help realize creative avenues towards new sales and community outreach.
