About Wholesale Greenmarket

What kinds of produce, plants, and flowers will I find at the Wholesale Greenmarket?
We offer in-season local and regional produce from New York and adjacent states.

Why is the market open so early?
The farmers at the Wholesale Greenmarket sell the majority of their products to food businesses like retailers, restaurants, and distributors. In order to ensure that these businesses provide the freshest possible product to their own customers, sales take place in the early morning hours.

Who can shop here?
The market is open to anyone interested in purchasing in wholesale quantities - by the case or pallet rather than by the piece or pound. We welcome retailers, institutions, restaurants, distributors, faith-based organizations, and the public.

Do I need to place an order in advance?
For smaller orders, you can simply come to the market to pick up what you need. For large or special orders it is best to work through the Market Manager to place an order directly with a farmer.

What's the smallest amount I can buy?
You can buy as little as a single box, flat, bushel, or crate.

How can I pay for my order?
Depending on the farmer, cash, POs, and checks are accepted. (See grower pages for farmer contact information.)

Is there organic produce available?
While there are currently no certified organic growers, we offer many products that are sustainably produced.
