South Bronx Earth Fest 2017

A Grassroots Celebration of the Environment and Culture of the Bronx

Join us for our 8th annual South Bronx Earth Fest on Saturday, April 22, 2017

Where: St. Mary's Park (St Ann's Avenue and 147th Street, Bronx)

When: Saturday, April 22, 12pm-4pm

Take action and participate in the following:

  • Recycle unwanted electronics with a special collection by e-cycleNYC

  • Give or take gently used clothing & household items at GrowNYC's Stop 'N' Swap®

  • Live music, fitness classes, and entertainmentThere will be a live DJ, Zumba and Yoga classes offered by Shape Up NYC, and amazing performances from musicians and entertainers!

  • REUSE Arts & Science Showcase: Utilizing reused materials, create art, tech, craft, performance, etc, and we'll spotlight your innovation at the Showcase! Submit project proposals to Janna Starr at jstarr@grownyc.org by Friday, April 14.

  • Fun games and activities for the whole family such as crafts, demonstrations, free gifts & prizes. Kids will get moving at the Recycling Olympics where they will stay active & learn about the environment

  • Community groups, environmental orgs & local officials will be featured at the event

  • Fresh Food Boxes (free!) while supplies last

  • Attend as a participant, or sign up to volunteer at the event

 

This event is rain or shine. If we have inclement weather, we will notify participants that the event will take place in the Betances Community Center down the street.
