Grant and Funding Opportunities

$50k for Food Safety Infrastructure and Equipment Improvements through the New York State Grown and Certified Program
Update 3/11/21: The funds for this grant have been awarded and are no longer available.

GrowNYC’s Farmer Assistance Program is now accepting applications for the New York State Grown & Certified Agricultural Producers  Block Grant.  Eligible producers can apply for grant funding up to $50,000 for farm business infrastructure and equipment purchases or improvements that directly impact a producer’s ability to meet the food safety standards of the New York State Grown & Certified Program.

Applicants are required to contribute 10 percent of the total project cost.  Reimbursement of those funds will be made available after the producer has completed their project and successfully been approved to the New York State Grown & Certified Program.

Eligibility requirements for individual commodities such as produce, dairy, shellfish, eggs, beef, poultry, pork, maple products, alcoholic beverages, and beverage ingredients can be found here.

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis and reviewed by a committee with representation from the Greenmarket until funds are depleted.
