Stand with GrowNYC and local farmers. Feed our communities.

For over 50 years, GrowNYC's programs have kept farmers farming, millions of New Yorkers fed, and communities nourished. But today, we face one of the most serious threats in our history and we need your help.

The ongoing federal policy and funding decisions are undermining GrowNYC’s ability to provide free and affordable food, support small and mid-sized farmers, and maintain a vital food distribution infrastructure. Right now, GrowNYC is facing a $2.3 million funding gap, which threatens our ability to:

  • Maintain essential food access programs, including our Greenmarkets and Farmstands
  • Process millions of dollars in essential nutrition benefits like SNAP at our sites, which directly support both farmers and low-income families.
  • Distribute free and low-cost fresh food through our Wholesale Food Hub to over 300 community partners, including emergency food providers and pantries.
  • Continue supporting the small and mid-sized farmers who sell through our Greenmarkets and Wholesale Food Hub program.
  • Provide free nutrition and environmental education to students, NYCHA residents, and older adults.

That’s why we’ve launched the GrowNYC Emergency Fund to fight back. Because our neighbors rely on these markets to eat. And farmers rely on them to survive.
