Our network of Greenmarket farmers markets, Farmstands, and Fresh Food Box pick-ups, coupled with GrowNYC Wholesale, ensures that all New Yorkers have access to the freshest, healthiest local food.
We provide food scrap drop-offs, clothing collections, Stop 'N' Swap® community reuse events, and outreach and education to increase participation in the city’s zero waste programs and help conserve natural resources.
We build and rejuvenate community and school gardens in all 5 boroughs, and support even more gardens through volunteer days, technical assistance, school garden grants, and more.
We foster future environmental stewards by providing 66,000 children each year with programs that provide meaningful interactions with the natural environment.
February 2021 marks the 45th annual Black History Month. To close our month-long observance of Black History, we happily feature some of the incredibly hardworking and talented staff that make up GrowNYC.
GrowNYC is facing unprecedented challenges and we need your financial support to keep basic programs going: community gardens, food access sites, composting, and environmental education. Please donate today.
Beginning April 1, 2021, GrowNYC Greenmarkets, Farmstands, and Fresh Food Box locations are banning single-use plastic t-shirt bags
