Open since 1994, this staple weekday market located South of the Williamsburg Bridge on Havemeyer Street serves the Hasidic and Latino communities from the surrounding neighborhoods, providing fresh, locally grown vegetables, fruits, juices, and specialty Latino products like papalo, pepiche and many varieties of peppers.

Manager

Rob Shepherd is originally from North Carolina, where he completed two Bachelor of Art degree's at Appalachian State University in Latin American Studies and Spanish. Rob also recently completed a Master of Art degree in International Affairs, concentrating in socio-economic development from the New School. Rob has lived, studied and worked extensively in Latin America, including the Dominican Republic and Argentina. His interests include community development and organizing, management, advocacy, along with youth and educational development. Rob also speaks Spanish fluently. Rob looks forward to an active season with Greenmarket.
