Help Promote Compost at Greenmarket
Various sites in Brooklyn and Manhattan
On March 5, GrowNYC launched a pilot compost program to collect kitchen scraps at select Greenmarkets. We've collected nearly 200,000 pounds so far and with your help the program will grow by "greens and browns". Donate a few hours to assist with outreach and collections or share your recycling know-how by conducting a worm bin demonstration. Find collection sites, hours and locations here. Contact us to volunteer.
¿Habla español?
OROE works in many Spanish-speaking areas in NYC and can use volunteers for jobs such as bilingual workshops, street fairs and the translation of signs and flyers. Contact us if we can call on you to help!
