With 40 years experience working alongside citizens like yourself to transform New York City’s environment, we decided that the time was ripe for a makeover. Though our name has changed, rest assured our values and programs remain the same.
CENYC is now GrowNYC.For forty years, CENYC - now GrowNYC - has been an essential resource for New Yorkers looking to make the city a better and more sustainable place to live, work and play.
ABOUT OUR NEW NAME AND LOOK
To get here, we worked closely with board representation, staff, and pro-bono consultants including the Harvard Business School Alumni Association, and of course our designer Julia Reich. We believe our new name and logo better communicates the way all of our programs transform the city: block by block and neighborhood by neighborhood.
In the form of a seal or crest, our new logo is bold, legible and colorful. The style of the apple is the iconic symbol of New York City and directly references our own iconic greenmarket apple. The words around the logo are: teach, recycle, greenmarket, garden which directly reference our programs.
WHAT’S NEXT
