Celebrate the fall harvest and Cider Week with Greenmarket
On Friday, October 18th, the Union Square Greenmarket will celebrate the fall harvest with farmers selling their farm fresh produce, meats, and cheeses, while sharing a space with a curated roster of restaurants serving prepared foods. Here is a map of the event.
Along with all of the delicious food served that evening, there will be programming for families, a pumpkin carving demonstration by Maniac Pumpkin Carvers, live music with Ed Cherry and Leviticus Gory provided by Jazz Foundation of America, as well as a bar featuring Brooklyn Greenmarket Wheat and hard cider for Cider Week.
All of your favorite Friday Greenmarket farmers will be in attendance, along with these restaurants selling individual dishes, desserts and beverages:
Chop't Salad - Spicy Greek Salad
Ngam Modern Thai Comfort Food - Winter Squash Red Curry
Palo Santo - Greenmarket Tacos
Tocqueville Restaurant - Roasted Butternut Squash Soup with Gala Apples and Carmalized Chestnuts
'Wichcraft - Pumpkin Cider Soup with Toasted Marshmallow & Spiced Pepitas
Hard Cider will be sold by the glass and bottle from Hudson Valley Farmhouse Cider, Eve’s Cider, Bad Seed Cider, Doc's Hard Cider, Warwick Valley Distillery & Winery and Orchard Hill Cider Mill.
This event is free and open to the public and hosted in collaboration with the Union Square Partnership.
