Textile Recycling in Harlem
Recycle clean clothing, towels, sheets and other textiles at Community Pride, 157 West 122nd Street b/t Lenox and Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Blvd Monday thru Friday, 9am-5pm.
Textile Recycling in Inwood
GrowNYC's clothing & textile recycling program has expanded and now includes a weekly drop-off site at the Inwood Greenmarket! Saturdays 8am-3pm on Isham St. b/t Seaman & Cooper.

The Sharing Place
Gently used clothing, shoes, books, movies, music, toys, household items, and business items can be donated here for resale at reasonable prices. All proceeds benefit the programs of the Little Sisters of the Assumption Family Health Service, which serves the East Harlem Community. Located at 333 East 115th St. (Between 1st & 2nd). Open Mon 12pm-4pm, Wed 10am-5:30pm, Thu 12pm-5:30pm, Fri 12pm-5pm, Sat 12pm-5pm.

Computer Recycling
Recycle computers, monitors, printers, scanners, keyboards, mice, speakers, cables, ink cartridges, etc. at local Goodwill stores including those on 181st b/t Audubon & Amsterdam, 5th Ave & 135th St and 3rd Ave & 121st St. Free, visit http://reconnectpartnership.com for more info.

Take Out Container Recycling Program
Take out containers are not accepted in NYC's curbside recycling program, but customers at 107 West and Next Door restaurants can now help reduce waste and be rewarded for their good deed. Simply bring back the white medium and large #5 containers used by the restaurant and receive a free soda for 10 containers, appetizer for 20 containers or free brunch with coffee and soda for 30 containers. 107 West: 811 West 187th Street b/t Pinehurst and Ft. Washington.

West 124th Street Community Garden Compost Drop-Off
Bring chopped up fruit and vegetables, coffee grounds and filters, tea bags without staples, eggshells, breads and grains for recycling into soil amendment for the garden. No meat, fish, bones, grease or pet waste, please. Drop off during seasonally posted open hours or whenever the garden is open. Compost Drop-Off at the Sherman Creek Center
Bring fruit and veggie scraps to be composted and used in gardens, tree-planting projects and more. Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm and (May-Nov only), 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month from 12pm-4pm. Sherman Creek Center is located at 3725 10th Ave b/t Dyckman and 201st St.
Inwood Hill Park Community Compost Initiative
Drop-off material to be composted at the Inwood Hill Nature Center during open hours (Wed-Sun, 10am-4pm). Enter the park at 218th St & Indian Hill Road. Click here to see what you can compost. Get involved and learn more by joining the Compost Club! Learn about the process of decomposition, bring compostable materials to recycle and take home fresh compost (while supplies last).
