Hana Martinez is a native of Corona, Queens. She is committed to fostering positive change for her hometown and that starts with healthier (and more delicious) lifestyles and with repairing our food system through the support of regional agriculture. Hana has worked on various organic farms and intentional communities along the east coast and Canada. She served as an urban farmer for the Battery Conservancy's Battery Urban Farm project – an experience that made her begin to see every rooftop and vacant lot as an opportunity. Hana is an lover of the arts be they the literary, visual or musical and it is the scents, sounds, colors, and flavors of farm and greenmarket life that inspire her.
