Masafest 2014

GrowNYC, Masienda Rockaway Beach 97st,  and Heritage Radio Network proudly present MASAFEST 2014! 

Masafest begins with a daytime open-to-the-public festival from 11am-4pm on Saturday, August 9th at the Rockaway Beach 97th Street Boardwalk! Corn-inspired street food by Rockaway Taco, Caracas Arepa Bar ,Cosme NYC, TACO SANTO and more! Games for kids! Tortilla-making demos by Hot Bread Kitchen!

Greenmarket + Guests are popping up all over the city this season! For one day only, local restaurants and food vendors set up shop alongside your favorite farmers for a day of delicious prepared foods, live music, and family-friendly activities.

NYC Brewers Choice 2014

NYC Brewers Choice 2014, hosted by Jimmy's No. 43

The marquee event of the annual NYC Beer Week (February 21-March 1, 2014), this year's NYC Brewer's Choice has an all NY State focus. Greenmarket's Regional Grain Project and Valley Malt will provide locally grown and roasted malt that will be featured in many of the beers on offer. 

"If You Build It" screening

IF YOU BUILD IT follows designer-activists Emily Pilloton and Matthew Miller to rural Bertie County, the poorest in North Carolina, where they work with local high school students to help transform both their community and their lives. Join GrowNYC for a screening of If You Build It, followed by a Q&A with filmmaker Patrick Creadon & Producer Neal Baer, moderated by Cheryl Huber, Greenmarket Assistant Director.
