Located inside the Atlas Park Mall, this market draws a crowd of loyal customers from the neighborhood with its bountiful selection of vegetables, fruit, potted plants and baked goods. Cooking demonstrations, free recipes, and the chance to speak with the very farmers who are growing this food encourage cooks and eaters of all backgrounds to try new products and experience both the healthful and flavorful benefits of eating fresh, regionally grown food.

Queens Greenmarket Bike Tour

*Tour begins in Two Coves Community Garden
(Corner of 8th St, Astoria Blvd, & 30th Ave/Main Ave, Astoria, Queens)
The tour begins with a coffee and a tour of Two Coves Community Garden in Astoria, along with a composting discussion with folks from the Western Queens Composting Initiative. Afterward, we'll visit the Sunnyside Greenmarket for a light breakfast and learn about Greenmarket's New Farmer Development Project. We'll then cruise over to the Atlas Park Greenmarket for a cooking demonstration and end the tour with lunch at the Socrates Sculpture Park Greenmarket.
Transportation Alternatives Queens Volunteer Committee will be leading the tour and providing free bike lights and bells for attendees.
Helmets are required!
